Ross & Mary Ecuador Prayer March 11, 2026 post

Dear Praying Friends,

Thank you for your prayers for Jan & Feb!

Highlights included a trip to Chicago, health challenges, weather and changes in travel schedule. Our main March event is our New England HMA trip!

We began the visiting stage of our HMA in Feb! Ross was in Chicago to visit two churches, attend the EFCA Theology Conference and to see some colleagues at Moody´s Mission Conference!

Later in the month we canceled our trip to North Carolina due to mechanical issues on our car on the eve of a major snow storm. And then had to cancel our trip to our home office in Orlando the end of Feb due to health issues with Mary's knee. Thankfully, Mary is recovering well after her visit to the doctor and follow up exercises with physical therapy.

We begin our New England HMA trip this Saturday! Pray for visits with churches friends and families on this journey. Pray for a special visit to the Center for the Study of Global Christianity at the Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary where we will begin exploring the possibility of an educational partnership with our CETI Indigenous Research Center. Pray for our recovery over a virus that hit us hard on Sunday that is affecting our preparations for this journey.

Exciting Connections!

Mary is taking an online multi-week diploma course on trauma informed care sponsored by the SIL/ABS Trauma Healing in Ecuador and G2G ministries. Mary is encouraged to see much of what she has been studying put succinctly in Spanish as an effective way to get these ideas into the Spanish world! In addition, Mary continues her monthly meetings with the Pioneers field-based member care team.

In late February, a small group of students joined me in an orientation to a series of short videos that teach Greek through orality methods created by Beth-Eden Ministries. Check out some highlights from our first zoom meeting where I explain some of the concepts of orality that are connected to this innovative course called Alpha with Angela.

Pray this month for:

*A fruitful New England trip: March 13-29.

*Complete healing for Mary's knee and virus.

*Our training center CETI and the formation of an educational training network. Specifically for our meeting at GCTS.

*Our financial support: for God to move hearts and to inspire creative strategies to meet these challenges.

*Ross' continued PhD research.

*Mary's continued connections to trauma healing, her current workshop on trauma informed care and continued participation with Pioneers in field-based member care.
