Who we are

We’re ordinary people called by an extraordinary God to be servants of Christ among the Quichua.

Married 40 years, we’re proud parents of three adult children and five grandchildren. Raised in Ecuador, our kids, Jonathan (Maggie), Cristina (Bryan), and Jennifer, are blessed with a rich cultural heritage, as very few North Americans lived in our area. Various Ecuadorian friends, neighbors, and fellow homeschoolers in other parts of Ecuador, as well as our ministry support team have been a blessed and integral part of our journey.

29 years of living & ministering among different slices of Ecuadorian culture provide us with a unique perspective of the deep heart needs of the people.

We trained for ministry at Moody Bible Institute, Rio Grande Bible Institute and Columbia International Univ.

The Spring/summer of 2018 Ross and Mary began a new round of field based and modular training for the next phase of our ministry:

Mary: Grad studies in Spiritual Formation and Discipleship at  Moody Bible Institute, and a program on trauma at the Somatic Trauma Institute.

Ross: PhD research in the area of Indigenous Theological Education at Columbia International University (transferred in 2020).
